Compassionate special needs dentistry

Fantastic. After having been turned away by many pediatric dentists we were beginning to feel as though our daughter who has many profound physical and cognitive disabilities would never get the dental care she needed. Thankfully Tailwind proved that was not the case, they got us on the schedule for an initial consultation with 3 weeks of the first time I called and have her scheduled to have her dental needs taken care of under anesthesia at children’s less than 3 months after that! We are impressed to say the least.

We love Tailwind! Both of my kiddos have gone since their first appointment. Staff is incredible with my 14 year old who’s on the spectrum and my 10 year old with pretty high anxiety. It’s always a quick and easy appointment. All of the hygienists and Dr. Stephens are amazing with both kiddos, so calm and kind – I recommend Tailwind to everyone I know who’s looking for a pediatric dental office.

They were accommodating with my neurodiverse kiddo who needed a procedure recently, giving us a “second chance” when the first appointment didn’t go so well and working around his stuffie and iPad that he needed to get through it. We love Tailwind! Would recommend them to anyone.

My daughter was and is completely traumatized from a previous experience. They were so wonderful with her today. They did not rush her and met her where she was at. My daughter is delayed in speech and sensory seeking. I highly recommend them, I also moved her twin sister over there after the appointment I was so impressed.

My son was so nervous about going to the dentist today. I was extremely impressed with the whole experience and how well they managed to work with my son who is autistic. By the time we left he had a big smile on his face and seemed somewhat excited to come back one day soon!
