Pediatric Dentist
My journey to pediatric dentistry has always been rooted in a deep commitment to caring for others. I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and began my healthcare career as a nurse after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University. I went on to serve as an operating room nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where I gained invaluable experience and developed a deep respect for the strength and resilience of patients and their families.
My true sense of purpose came into focus while working as a pediatric home care nurse, supporting medically complex children in their homes and schools. I found genuine fulfillment in helping children feel safe, understood, and cared for. That experience shaped the way I approach pediatric dentistry—another avenue for me to nurture and care for children, this time by helping create healthy, happy smiles.
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Indiana University, where I graduated with Research Honors. I was honored to be inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, which recognizes both academic excellence and strong ethical character. I also received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award for my commitment to improving children’s oral health.
After dental school, I completed my pediatric dental residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. My time at Yale provided advanced training in treating children with a wide range of medical, developmental, and behavioral needs, and further shaped my approach to providing individualized, compassionate care.
As a pediatric dentist, my mission is to meet each child where they are—with patience, empathy, and understanding. I strive to ease anxiety, build trust, and help children overcome fears to achieve milestones they may not have thought possible—all while creating positive and uplifting dental experiences.
Outside the office, I love relaxing with a good book, exploring local thrift shops and antique stores, and traveling to new places with my husband.
